West Star Aviation announces it has completed its first paint project of an Embraer Lineage aircraft at its Chattanooga, TN (CHA), location, one of its four full-service facilities. The aircraft was received on Oct. 30 and delivered back to the customer on Dec. 4. West Star’s CHA paint hangar is one of only a few MROs that can facilitate the sizable lineage aircraft.

Western Aircraft, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announces it has hired seasoned aircraft designer Robert Stockton as its new interior sales manager. Stockton has a broad aviation career that includes work in interior and exterior design, refurbishments, installations, customer relationships and sales support.

Clay Lacy Aviation is the first company to receive a 4AIR sustainability rating of Facilities Neutral, validating that the company’s private-aviation facilities have been operating carbon neutral since 2019. Clay Lacy is the first company to complete its facilities audit by 4AIR, the first and only rating sustainability program dedicated to private aviation.

Wichita Aero Club announces it will inaugurate a new board chairman, Ashley Bowen Cook — the first female to lead the aviation industry organization — when it hosts its 11th WAC Trophy Gala on Jan. 29, 2022. She succeeds John O’Leary, vice president and general manager of Airbus Americas Engineering, as chairman. As immediate past chairman, Mr. O’Leary will remain an active member of the WAC board and will serve as head of its Education Committee.

West Star Aviation announces that it has developed and certified an STC for the installation of Future Air Navigation System (FANS) equipment for Citation X aircraft in partnership with Honeywell. The company recently completed the first installation at West Star’s East Alton, IL (ALN), location.

Jet Luxe announces its expansion to The Americas. The brand, which launched in 2020 and rapidly expanded over the past two years, has now launched in Miami, covering the company’s operations and service offering in North America, Canada and Latin America.

Cutter Aviation announces the purchase of GTU Jet FBO at Georgetown Municipal Airport (GTU) in Texas. The acquisition of GTU Jet follows the purchase of AeroJet in Dec. 2021, increasing the company’s footprint in Georgetown Executive Airport to 152,000 square feet of hangar space for based clients and transient traffic and 34,588 square feet of FBO and office space, including conference rooms, pilot lounge with snooze room, flight-planning area, crew car and concierge service.
