The FAA will be holding a Safety Stand Down December 3-4. On these dates, the FAA will host a series of online safety seminars targeted at aircraft maintenance technicians and other repair station personnel. Up to four hours of AMT & IA credit is available each day on maintenance subjects. The following subjects will be covered:

Jet Aviation announces it has secured its air operator’s certificate (AOC) for Malta, thereby launching its new flight operation. The Malta location joins the company’s other regional AOC operations in Zurich and Cologne.

West Star Aviation announces it has acquired the ram air turbine (RAT) tooling required for the 24-month check on the Legacy 450/500 airframe. As of November 2017, West Star has completed two 24-month inspections on Legacy 500 aircraft and project increased numbers as its service center capabilities grow.

L2 Consulting Services, Inc. (L2), an avionics integration and installation service for the global air transport industry, announces a contract to upgrade Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft with the Rockwell Collins Large Display avionics suite. L2 has been contracted by Rockwell Collins to provide engineering design and provide project management for the upgrade program.

Jet Aviation Gains EN9110 Certification and Other Maintenance Approvals in Dubai

Jet Aviation announces that its maintenance facility in Dubai has been awarded EN9110 certification following an independent audit. The company has also gained EASA, FAA and GCCA approvals for the Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) family, as well as EASA approval for the Bombardier Global BD700 series.

Boeing [NYSE: BA] announces an agreement to provide custom services from the Boeing Global Fleet Care portfolio to Oman Air. The agreement, which provides line replaceable unit support for 787 Dreamliner engines, builds on the foundation of a previously contracted Component Services Program with the airline in 2015 and strengthens the services commitment.
