Duncan Aviation Builds Tech Rep Expertise in Provo

Duncan Aviation’s full-service MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) facility in Provo, UT, grows its technical representative expertise to include five Duncan Aviation Technical Representatives. These tech reps are some of the industry’s most experienced and highly respected experts, using their talent and knowledge to advise, teach and support customers, OEMs and internal Duncan Aviation technicians.

After extensive review, AviationManuals, a provider of manual development services and safety management system (SMS) software, is listed as an authorized vendor by the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) to produce OTAR-compliant MELs. This recognition will benefit operators that utilize AviationManuals by reducing processing time by approximately 30%.

Addressing the confusion about the process of exporting aircraft and the requirements for making the necessary Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Tax Committee and Regulatory Issues Advisory Group join forces to create a new, members-only resource, “Guide on Exporting Aircraft from the United States.”

Hartzell Propeller receives a supplemental type certificate (STC) from the FAA to replace Diamond DA40 NG MT wood/composite propellers with new higher-performance, 3-bladed, lightweight Polaris composite props. The 74-inch-diameter three-blade ASCII carbon-fiber prop for the Austro Engine E4-A features a lightweight Bantam aluminum hub and 2,4000-hour/six-year TBO, with Hartzell's warranty through first overhaul.

An evolution of NATA’s job board, the NATA Career Center enables members to connect with aviation business professionals worldwide, offers guidance on career changes, educates new and potential aviation industry entrants, and provides resources for both job seekers and employers.
