The upgrade replaces the original 700-horsepower PT6A-64 engine with the more powerful 850-horsepower PT6A-66D, bringing TBM 700 performance on par with the TBM 850 by providing a 21% increase in available shaft horsepower (SHP).

Aims Community College launches a new aircraft maintenance technician program to meet the urgent demand for certified aviation mechanics. Prospective students can now apply to the program to earn an Associate of Applied Science in Aircraft Maintenance Technician degree in two years, over six semesters. The college will add certificate options as the program evolves.
