Three students enrolled at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA) are awarded a $5,000 scholarship from the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce (PAACC) Enterprise Foundation. Empire Holdings, Inc., parent company of Empire Airlines, purchases West Air, Inc., a FedEx feeder airline headquartered in Fresno, CA. Founded in 1978 and based in Fresno, CA, West Air operates Cessna Caravans for FedEx, servicing parts of California, Nevada and Utah. The company has served as a FedEx Feeder operator since 1987.

CCX Technologies is expanding its T-RX Tester’s reach into the European market by signing an exclusive distribution agreement with U.K.-based Evolution Measurement. The latest of several agreements in recent months authorizes the company to sell, calibrate and perform limited repairs to the testers for business jet and commercial aircraft platforms.
