NorSAF signs a permanent license agreement with KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (NYSE: KBR) for the deployment of PureSAF® technology, invented and developed by Swedish Biofuels AB and exclusively licensed to KBR for commercial deployment. The agreement grants NorSAF exclusivity to utilize the technology, establishing a strategic foundation for the potential development of Europe’s first commercial-scale facility capable of producing 100% drop-in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF/eSAF).

Michelin North America, Inc. (Michelin), launches a high-performance bias tire, the Michelin® Pilot®, a tire designed for propeller-driven aircraft to provide extra-long tire life, exceptional tread life and all-weather protection.

StandardAero signs an exclusive five-year, time-and-material contract with Air Tanzania to provide maintenance and engineering services for the Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PW150A engines powering the flag carrier’s fleet of three Q400 regional turboprops. The new contract extends StandardAero’s relationship with Air Tanzania, the company having previously provided engine support for the airline’s Q300 aircraft.

A little after 9 a.m. CT, July 21, 2018, the Commemorative Air Force’s World War II aircraft, C-47 Bluebonnet Belle N47HL, had an accident at takeoff and caught fire. The accident occurred at Burnet Municipal Airport in Burnet, TX, where it is assigned to the Highland Lakes Squadron.
