Our employees are not only part of history, theyre making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a skilled and motivated Production Test Technician (Level 2 or 3) to join our dynamic team in Ridgecrest, California. This role is essential to supporting the testing and evaluation of electro-mechanical systems critical to national defense supporting our ARRGM Program.In this hands-on position, you’ll be responsible for setting up, executing, and documenting tests in accordance with detailed procedures and customer requirements. This role demands a strong commitment to quality, adherence to ESD and FOD protocols, and the ability to meet production goals in a high-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and perform testing of electro-mechanical devices following written instructions
  • Record and analyze test data to ensure compliance with customer specifications
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area following ESD and FOD procedures
  • Collaborate respectfully and effectively within a close-knit team
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Occasionally lift heavy equipment (up to 30 lbs) and work overtime when required

Basic Qualifications Production Test Technician 2:

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Data Collection systems (MES, FMT, CAMS, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to obtain Active DoD Secret clearance

Basic Qualifications Production Test Technician 3:

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Data Collection systems (MES, FMT, CAMS, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to obtain Active DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry
  • Understanding of environmental chamber operations
  • Familiarity with quality systems TipQA and industry standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following:
    • Electrical test set-up and performance
    • Preventive maintenance and calibration
    • Test equipment troubleshooting and repair
    • Anechoic and thermal chamber operations
    • Use of test instruments (power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, etc.)
    • Data logging and reporting using Excel

Primary Level Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $83,300.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $59,300.00 - $98,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
