Duncan Aviation announces that Aaron Hilkemann, president of Duncan Aviation, will retire from the president position on July 1 of this year and move to chief executive officer and chairman of the Board of Advisors, a newly created part-time position. He will be succeeded by Jeff Lake, the current chief operating officer for Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln, NE facility.

Duncan Aviation announces that its Fixed Based Operator (FBO) facilities in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, MI, have received Stage I accreditation from the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH). Duncan Aviation’s other two main facilities in Lincoln, NE, and Provo, UT, had previously earned this accreditation.

Over time it becomes difficult to support legacy avionics, and Honeywell has options to avoid obsolescence issues. In this free, 30-minute interactive webinar, Duncan Aviation Regional Avionics Sales manager Michael Kussatz and Regional Avionics Sales manager John Spellmeyer will be joined by Mike Lempke and Ed Borger from Honeywell to discuss flight deck upgrades for aging aircraft.

In a recent move, Duncan Aviation named Sandra Phelps as its International Parts & Rotables Sales Representative dedicated to the EU (European Union) member states. In this role, Phelps will specialize in aircraft parts sales in the European market, managing work orders, parts exchange transactions, and international shipments, including hazardous material.

In spite of the fact that there are still 12 weeks remaining until the FAA’s mandate deadline for Automatic Dependent Survelliance-Broadcast (ADS-B), Bob Hazy, the manager of Duncan Aviation’s Satellite Avionics Shop in Sacramento, CA, says that shop is already booking upgrades through March 2020.
