EQUINOXX is looking for a conscientious, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician, with a background or long-term interest in propeller-driven general aviation aircraft.
Our Maintenance Technician will be a key member of our team and will contribute significantly to our growing reputation as the place our customers trust for maintenance of their aircraft. Our Maintenance Technician will have opportunities to succeed by working with our technical teams to help improve our processes, maintenance efficiency, and customer recognized quality.
Job responsibilities include:

  • Repairing and maintaining both piston and turbine powered propeller-driven aircraft.
  • Aircraft inspection and troubleshooting of resulting aircraft ldquo;squawksrdquo; leading to appropriate repairs / solutions. These include airframe, powerplant, and other mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues as required.
  • Training, understanding, and execution of company safety programs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to will be equipped with:

  • 5+ years experience in maintenance of piston and turboprop powered aircraft - Cirrus, Piper, Cessna, Mooney, Beechcraft, Pilatus etc.
  • The skill to inspect and examine aircraft components, including de-icing systems, hydraulic systems and landing gear, for leaks, cracks, breaks or other issues
  • The ability to read and utilize blueprints, maintenance manuals, ATA codes, illustrated parts catalogs, service bulletins and other maintenance documents to troubleshoot and complete work assignments
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring / testing instruments.
  • Good mechanical and mathematical ability including the ability to read, interpret, and analyze blueprints and schematics.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task, plan, and manage time effectively.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, both within the company and with customer logbooks and other correspondence.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a team including communicating with all levels of a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
  • The ability to work independently, without regular supervision.
  • Keep detailed records of the inspections performed, repairs finished, maintenance procedures and ordered parts
Requirements: 
  • High school diploma with aviation-specific training (2 year associate degree preferred)
  • A P Certification
  • Posession of minimum basic tool set / toolbox
  • Experience with technical manual database software
  • 5+ years of experience on general aviation aircraft REQUIRED
  • Fluent in English
