We are continuing to grow and expand, with exciting contracts being secured!Our Luton location are pleased to announce have officially opened our new Component Workshop in Q3. As a result of this, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Component Mechanic to join our team in Luton. Specialising in wheels and related repair work, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing essential aircraft components, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in compliance with industry regulations.You will have a great deal of responsibility with endless opportunity for impact and freedom for initiatives.About us:Gama Aviation is a hugely diverse business that offers much more than perhaps its name would suggest.   • Responsibility to certify and perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities on aircraft wheels and associated components.
  • Adhere to maintenance manuals, engineering instructions, and regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA Part 145 standards).
  • Clearly record on worksheets details of the tasks completed, accurately reflecting the works performed with time booking
  • Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures and COSHH requirements
  • Support the workshop team in achieving production schedules and performance targets.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work environment
  • Comply with all procedures listed in the current Staff Company Handbook
  • Any other duties commensurate with the position

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • A minimum of 2 years working in Aviation
  • Minimum of 1 year working in a wheel component environment
  • Relevant component training by the OEM or OEM authorised, or part 145
  • Preferably have a working knowledge of CAA regulations which applies to component overhaul/repair
  • Strong attention to detail
