Amentum is immediately hiring qualified Aircraft Power Plants Mechanic I’s in support of U.S. Navy Aviation maintenance operations at NAS Oceana Virginia Beach, VA. VFA-106.The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.

The successful Plane Captain performs aircraft handling, servicing, daily and turn around inspections as required. Provides pre-operational inspections and fuels ground support equipment, technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to employees in the Aircraft Washer and Plane Captain Helper classifications. Essential Responsibilities:

The Aircraft Mechanic-Airframe performs organizational, intermediate and limited depot level maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification and troubleshooting on all assigned aircraft, components and equipment.

Aircraft Maintenance Technician I Definition: This is the entry and first working level for certificated Airframe and Powerplant technicians.  Incumbents at this level work under the guidance of a Lead Technician and inspect and repair aircraft, engines, and components, and return aircraft to service.Minimum Qualifications:  Possession of the following certificates:  FAA Airframe Powerplant Te
