As I'm writing this, it's the end of day two at NBAA-BACE 2025 in Las Vegas. The D.O.M. magazine team has had a busy two days with lots of conversations at our booth, plenty of press conferences and seminars, and walking the show floor looking for new products and services for aircraft maintenance professionals.

As a Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Center, West Star will be authorized and approved to perform scheduled and non-scheduled inspections and repairs. Additionally, they are approved to receive warranty and "CorporateCare" approval via the Rolls-Royce "MyAeroEngine" portal to process warranty claims directly to the OEM.

West Star Aviation announces the company has received several STCs for Transmitting Portable Electronic Devices (TPED) compatibility in the 2.4 GHz/5GHz frequency band using IEEE 802.11 b/h/n/ac protocols. This allows crew and passengers to use their electronic devices in-flight without disrupting navigation signals.

West Star Aviation announces it has received EASA approval for installation of a Honeywell CD-830 Control Display Unit (CDU) at its Grand Junction, CO, facility. West Star Aviation is approved to install the units in various models of aircraft including Hawker, Challenger, Global Express, Embraer, Falcon, Gulfstream and more that were previously equipped with a Honeywell FMS model CD-810, CD-815 or CD-820 CDU.

West Star Aviation's Chattanooga facility receives Cessna approval as an authorized independent nondestructive inspection (NDI) facility. The approval allows West Star to perform nondestructive testing and inspections (NDT) requirements on Cessna models, as well as provides access to documentation and the required standards/kits needed to perform the work.

Duncan Aviation is recognized by Bombardier Business Aircraft for its performance in 2017 as a top authorized service facility in the support of Bombardier customers. Judged on a set of criteria that included quality, compliance, customer satisfaction and customer influence, Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln, NE, facility was named the winner of the North American category of the 8th Annual Bombardier Authorized Service Facility Excellence Awards.
