About the Team
AeroTECrsquo;s AC Test Site Ops Department provides operational and facility requirements to support Fabrication, Aircraft Maintenance, Quality, Flight Test Instrumentation Installation removal, and site safety (EH S/SMS). The AC Test Site Ops Division is responsible for providing resources and facilities for aircraft maintenance, quality, manufacturing, instrumentation installation and equipment to support customer requirements
About the Role
The Avionic/Instrumentation Technician position is responsible for ensuring that all aircrafts equipment meets airworthiness standards. They ensure that equipment is correctly maintained and modified with the most recent improvements, perform necessary tests, and install select aircraft structural components. The Avionic/Instrumentation Technician may accompany Flight Test Engineers when they are conducting actual flight tests.
Due to licensing requirements, Avionic/Instrumentation Technicians may be required to have a licensed position approve/sign-off on their work.
In This Role You Will:
- Perform and introduce modifications across multiple aircraft types.
- Assemble wiring harnesses in compliance with IPC-620D standards.
- Operate IFR4000/6000 and Air Data Test Sets.
- Work assigned shifts (day or afternoon) to meet project schedules.
- Travel up to 20% of the time.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with FAA regulations.
The Skills You Will Bring (Minimum):
- Valid FAA Airframe Powerplant (A P) Certificate.
- Minimum of 5 yearsrsquo; experience in avionics/aircraft maintenance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-70 pounds (with assistance, e.g. a hand truck). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The employee must be able to safely operate motorize vehicles.
- Ability to be present at Moses Lake worksite up to 12 hour days as requested is required.
- Travel (flying and driving) to various domestic worksites may be required.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a ldquo;U.S. Personrdquo; as defined by 22 C.F.R. sect;120.15 is required.
