The Avionics/Electronics Aircraft Mechanic I is responsible for:

Classification Description Repairs, maintains, and inspects aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment under the technical direction of an Aircraft Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic (Senior) or Lead. Removes and installs aircraft components. Conducts functional tests of repaired components and systems. Special certifications may be required.

Classification Description Designs, welds, heat-treats, fabricates, and machines precision tools, components, and assemblies for aircraft and related Support Equipment (SE). Advises about metals machining and welding and designs, manufactures, or modifies special precision tools, gauges, dies, and fixtures to facilitate metal-working operations.

Classification Description Assesses the effectiveness of the maintenance process and determines if QC maintenance evaluations are achieving the intended results, samples are adequate to predict trends, and/or focus needs to be redirected. Conducts the maintenance evaluation program.

The Aircraft Mechanic II (Avionics) performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty. 

The Sheetmetal/Structures Aircraft Mechanic AM2 - (CH-47, UH-60, AH-64) performs, and inspects aviation unit (AVUM), intermediate (AVIM) and depot maintenance on assigned aircraft.

The AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 (Armament/Electrical Specialty) troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.
