Boeing announces that Southwest Airlines has selected Boeing Airplane Health Management (AHM) to enhance operational efficiency in its maintenance and engineering operations.
Southwest Airlines will use Airplane Health Management to collect and evaluate airplane operations data while the airplane is in flight. This real-time data is used to signal ground operations crews of any potential maintenance issues before the airplane lands, minimizing flight schedule disruptions and maintenance-related delays.

StandardAero has completed a license agreement with Rolls-Royce that designates the company’s Singapore facility as an Authorized Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center (AMROC) for RR300 helicopter engines. This authorization, signed on May 16 of this year, follows StandardAero’s Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada RR300 AMROC agreement, signed in December, 2013.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics has appointed Hong Kong-based Topcast Aviation Supplies as an authorized distributor for the A320 Crane Landing Gear Control Interface Unit (LGCIU).

Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation recently took delivery of the first PurePower® PW1200G engine at the Mitsubishi Regional Jet’s (MRJ) final-assembly factory in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Pratt & Whitney shipped the PurePower engine in preparation of being mounted on the first MRJ flight test aircraft.
