Best Fly Maintenance announces that it will open a new part 145 Line Station at Luanda International Airport in the fourth quarter of 2014 to offer high quality maintenance services.
The new station will offer line maintenance tasks, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks for Gulfstream G450/550, Falcon 900, Falcon 7x or Beechcraft King Air family aircraft types. Overall, Best Fly will be qualified to work on more than 30 aircraft types.

Kitchener Aero Avionics (KAAV) announces the addition of an FAA STC for its “Glass-Cockpit” upgrade to the Eurocopter EC-120 helicopter.
This STC has been granted under FAA Project No. ST07457NY-R.
The Canadian STC was granted in December 2012. The heart of this mod is the Garmin G500H Flight Display system with Helicopter Synthetic Vision (HSVT), an Altitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) and Air Data. Aviation Fabricators (AvFab) announces it has received Mexican approval for the installation of its STC approved King Air Aft Jump Seat Kits on all Beechcraft King Air models.
AvFab received EASA approval on installation for all 100, 200, and 300 (including the 350) series King Air Aft Jump Seat Kits in April 2010. In addition, AvFab has U.S., Brazil and Indonesian STC approval for the seats.

In late 2013, NASA released a Blueprint for Transforming Global Aviation. Since programs like this tend to drive various government-funded aviation research programs, it is worth reviewing to see how well this plan might affect the industry in the coming years. While government agencies are not known for their ability to forecast the long-term future accurately, neither is private industry. Any such calculated planning from any entity needs to be viewed for what it is — namely, a vision of what could be and perhaps what should be.

I am currently participating in a weight loss competition. This is a free competition put on by our community. Teams of four to six individuals are competing against other teams to see who can lose the most weight in three months. There are monetary prizes for the highest percentage of body weight lost for the top individuals and teams. I am in a team with my wife, son, and three other friends.
