Duncan Aviation Welcomes Director of Production Cobi Lane in Provo, UT

Duncan Aviation welcomes Cobi Lane as its new director of Production Operations in Provo, UT. Lane will be responsible for leading the Airframe, Engine and Modifications production areas at Duncan Aviation’s newest full-service facility.

As part of the company’s continued expansion, C&L Aviation Services, a C&L Aviation Group company, announces the formalized start of its Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship Program registered with the Department of Labor. The program, set to begin in April, will provide paying jobs to apprentices while they receive on-the-job instruction, preparing them for their FAA certification examination and a career in aviation.

Stevens Aerospace announces that all four of the company’s MRO facilities have been designated as authorized installation centers for PRIZM LED Cabin Lighting systems. The solid-state technology is cost-effective and app-based, providing a cabin environment that creates stunning aesthetics and even impacts passengers’ state of mind.

Baldwin Safety and Compliance announces it is offering its new Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) to all Baldwin clients at no additional cost. Introduced in 2020 to provide timely internal audit evaluations from multiple sources, the Baldwin IEP includes “Steps to Excellence” (S2E) and 10-15 challenging operational audit questions derived from industry standard and regulatory sources delivered to the Baldwin portal for completion each month.

Stevens Acquires In-House Machining Capabilities, Reducing Costs and Downtime

Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems, LLC (Stevens) announces that its Greenville, S.C. (GYH), location has recently acquired a Hass VF-2SS Super-Speed high-performance vertical CNC machine, giving it capabilities to manufacture parts in-house. The capability will serve all four Stevens locations and will decrease customer costs and downtimes when immediate or lower cost parts needs arise, or when vendor lead times and price points can be improved.

Elliott Aviation, a provider of aviation MRO services, hires Todd Wheeler as director of maintenance services of its Des Moines, IA, facility. Wheeler rejoins Elliott Aviation with over 30 years of aviation experience, with half of his career dedicated towards performing inspections, maintenance and repairs on P&W PT6, JT15D, PW300 and PW500 series engines during his tenure with Dallas Airmotive.
