You have probably heard someone in your company make the statement “we’re all salesmen.” This usually happens in the third or fourth quarter of the fiscal year when executives are making a companywide push to make their year-end sales numbers.

NBAA2012 RECAP

I write this column as I am catching up from NBAA2012. The D.O.M. magazine staff attended the NBAA show last week in full force and had a productive show.

The percentage of females enrolled in FAA Part 147 schools is on the rise according to the Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance (AWAM). “Although overall enrollment in Part 147 schools is down, the percentage of female students is on the rise,” shares Lynette Ashland, president of AWAM.

AWAM has many opportunities for female mechanics to network including local chapter meetings and its annual event and gathering in conjunction with the International Women in Aviation Conference.

Cambridge, U.K. - The business aviation arm of the Marshall Aerospace Group has created a dedicated aircraft sales and brokerage business. Based at its Cambridge Airport, U.K., headquarters, the business will focus initially on acquiring and selling pre-owned business jets and turboprops.
