Aircraft Mechanics/ Technicians inspect, diagnose, repair and monitor aircraft and aircraft systems such as structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, engines, power, and electrical/ electronic systems and components as assigned to work centers.
Updates publications (in either digital or hard copy format as applicable) and ensures the information contained in all technical publications is current and accurate. Collects all technical publication data and incorporates digital data into the applicable publications. Distributes all changes to libraries.

Provides inventory and management of inventories and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks and stores new equipment; visually inspects for defects and reports damage.
Develops, implements and monitors quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Monitors and inspects documentation and performance of aircraft and support equipment maintenance, reviewing other people's work and determining accuracy and conformity.

Compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. Calculates such factors and rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
