Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announces it is the business-jet industry’s first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to fly on 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The flight took place on a Gulfstream G650 from Gulfstream’s worldwide headquarters in Savannah and was flown in partnership with engine supplier Rolls-Royce on the G650 BR725 engine.

Textron Aviation announces that an electrically driven air conditioning system will soon be a standard feature on all new production Beechcraft King Air 360 aircraft. This new feature provides cooled air throughout the cabin while the aircraft is on the ground and in flight, enhancing passenger and crew comfort. Deliveries with the new air conditioning system are expected to begin in the coming months.

Flexjet, Inc., a provider of subscription-based private aviation services, announces the graduation of its first class of airframe and powerplant (A&P) apprentices. These 10 individuals completed 30 months of paid, on-the-job training while working alongside some of the most experienced and professional maintenance technicians in the nation. Following completion of their apprenticeships, the candidates received their FAA-issued A&P licenses as well as an offer of full-time professional employment with Flexjet.
