Seattle - Component Control announces the release of the latest version of StockMarket.aero, its free online aviation parts eMarketplace. Enhancements to the Web site’s intuitive usability and navigation make it quicker and easier to find qualified aviation parts and services. Stockmarket.aero currently lists more than 40 million qualified line items of inventory and capability from more than 2,300 aircraft parts vendors.

Peterborough, Ontario - Flying Colours Corp., in partnership with Maine Aviation, presented its latest ExecLiner CRJ conversion at the NBAA regional forum at Teterboro, N.J.. The aircraft, Serial Number 7779, which is configured for 16 passengers, was unveiled on June 1 at the Flying Colours' Peterborough facility and is the ninth CRJ conversion Flying Colours Corp. the company has completed.

Dave Thissell of Plymouth, MA has received the prestigious Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award adding his name to the FAA’s Roll of Honor. Thissell, a graduate of East Coast Aero Tech, began his aviation career in 1962 for Hinson Aviation in Baltimore, MD, where he also served as a mechanic for the 135 Air Commando Group of the Maryland Air National Guard. After a few short years Thissell moved to Plymouth where he has been for more than 40 years.

On June 11, the Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA) filed an amicus curiae (friend of the court) brief with the United States Supreme Court. In doing so, ARSA provided background for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations requiring maintenance instruction availability, and pointed out that the FAA cannot ignore the plain language of those regulations. As a result, ARSA emphasized existing Supreme Court legal doctrine supporting Court intervention in the matter.

Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support (GCS) announces its factory-owned service centers in the United States have, once again, received the coveted Diamond Award from the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Maintenance Technician Program. The eight HBS maintenance centers including Little Rock, AR, Tampa, FL, Atlanta, GA, Indianapolis, IN, Wichita, KS, Houston, TX, San Antonio, TX and Mesa, AZ, met the requirements for the FAA’s highest distinction for excellence in aircraft maintenance training.
